The Rag Sweater
The pattern is only available on my Patreon, BUY HERE
The rag sweater is a pattern I created during a two part series on my Youtube channel where I created my first raglan sweater. I have now created it into a pattern, a great intro pattern for your first raglan sweater. You can knit this sweater with many colours, like I did, or just one. The pattern is geared towards confident beginners and intermediates and those comfortable with working in the round on circular needles.
Supplies needed: - Yarn: Super Bulky Yarn, Category 6). The suggested yarn is Malabrigo Rasta I personally used a combination of yarns of similar weight by layering strands of yarn to make thinner yarns chunkier.
Amount of yarn: XS/S/M: 500-600 yards approx.
L/XL/XXL: 700- 850 yards approx.
I used many pieces of scrap yards and leftovers from other projects, so this is an estimate.
- Needles: 10mm & 12mm with a 16-inch cord (for neck and sleeves) and 24 inch cord (for body and upper sleeves). I personally have interchangeable needles, which is super handy when keeping the same cord but changing needle sizes as the sweater grows.
- Stitch holder
- Pair of scissors
- Stitch markers
Sizing Chart (US sizing):
XS: 0/2 (32”-33”)
S: 4/6 (34”-35”)
M: 8/10 (36”-37.5”)
L: 12/14 (39”-40.5”)
XL: 16/18 (42.5”-44.5”)
XXL: 20/22 (46”-48”)
